Read only Betfair API access using the live application key is not permitted.
Ready only access refers to access to the API that reads/collects Betfair price/market data without the intention to place bets on the Betfair Exchange.
We do not provide specific guidelines relating to how we monitor read-only access. However, if your intention is not to place bets on the Betfair Exchange when interacting with the Betfair API, you should use the delayed rather than the live application key to avoid access restrictions, including deactivation of your live application key.

What classifies as read-only usage of a Live App Key?
For example, if I connect the Live Exchange API to an automated trading system that monitors markets and places bets only when certain conditions are met, some days it may place very few bets or no bets at all.
Would that still be considered acceptable betting-related usage, provided the system is genuinely intended to place bets when its strategy triggers?
Or does Betfair expect a certain level of betting activity relative to live market-data requests?
